Yet several others complain that they receive 4 or 5 copies of a message. It sounds to me like there is a specific distribution path or mechanism that is generating the duplicates. Lets try to narrow this down. I receive comp.os.vms through USENET news. It looks like anything gatewayed from BITNET or the Internet come through ucbvax (Berkeley.EDU). As I say, I haven't seen any duplicates recently. Has any other USENET news reader gotten the duplicates? I understand that INFO-VAX Internet mailing-list recipients always get digests (is this correct?) so I assume that they are not the ones requesting digest format. I don't know how other recipients (BITNET, NOTES, what else?) receive this group. Is some subset of these users the ones receiving the deplicates? Maybe we can get enough information to figure out what is duplicating the messages and put an end to the problem. -- Ted Marshall ...!ucbvax!mtxinu!blia!ted mtxinu!blia!ted@Berkeley.EDU Britton Lee, Inc., 14600 Winchester Blvd, Los Gatos, Ca 95030 (408)378-7000 The opinions expressed above are those of the poster and not his employer.
