We also get high error counts on certain ports.  Our ports with errors
have either DECmates or Rainbow PC's on them.  The DECmates in particular.
I think the DECmates are "jabbering", sending ^S/^Q.  The ports timeout
resulting in an error.

This is all suspicion and speculation.  I'm not really sure what's going
on.
