About a month ago there was a discussion about this. A lot was said, however I still have some specific questions. But first a little background on what our situation is. We currently have a Xerox 8700 that handles all of our laser printing needs. We like it very much, but unfortunately so does Xerox. With all of the state budget cuts etc, we can no longer afford it. We have decided to go with several DICONIX DIJIT 1 printers to replace the Xerox. This is an ink jet printer that will produce 20 pages per minute duplex. We are testing one now that is not a PostScript machine, but the machines we are receiving will be PostScript. OK I hope I didn't leave out anything. Here are my questions. 1. Has anyone else had any experience with the DICONIX DIJIT 1. 2. How are people with PostScript printers handling accounting. 3. In a previous article RAY@CRVAX.SRI.COM mentioned that he has modified a print symbiont for a Laserwriter Plus. Is this something you could share? I noticed you specifically did not mention whether or not you could distribute it. And along those lines anyone who has modified a print symbiont to handle PostScript accounting, would you be willing to share this with me.
