a colleague of mine here at wj is in need of advice 
on the purhcase of a 24-pin matrix wide carriage
printer. It will need to support the full ascii set,
spanish being essential. it would be nice to have it support
downloadable fonts.

the ringer is that it must be under $1000.

so what's out there?
