I am interested in hearing comments about the following printer available from Compugraphic Corporation. It uses solid-state LED array with an output resolution of 400 d.p.i.. It prints 18 pages per minute, with a monthly rate of 10,000 - 100,000 pages. It is equipped with a high-speed Adobe "Atlas" controller and a user- accesible 20MB Winchester hard disk. It has 6MB of internal memory. It has full postscript compatibility with 73 standard typefaces. It also has a 2000 page tray with a 500 page two position output hopper. If anyone has had any experience with this printer or any others that have similiar characteristics please mail me your comments. We are in the market for a printer with at least 15 page per minute performance that must be postscript compatible. We would like to keep costs under or around $30,000. I will post a response to the net if requested. And as always thanks in advance. I have no connections with Compugrahics other than being a curious computer operator. kmcmilla@ub.D.UMN.EDU Ken McMillan Prin. Data Proc. Tech.
