Lines: 10 MITRE is seeking a product to support remote access by 1 to 16 terminals to an Ethernet LAN and through the LAN to a VAX host running VAX/VMS. The protocols to be supported include TELNET/FTP, TCP, and IP, with terminal rates of 1200 to 9600 bps. Need basic technical data and POC for follow-up. Understand the Communications Machinery Corporation (CMC) has a suitable device, the CMC serial bridge terminal server; this option is being investigated presently. Are there users of this device out there in the ether who can advise of its reliability, performance, and general overall goodness? MITRE POC Andrew K.
