The statement would have been fascinating reading for the 95 million citizens of socialistic countries who have been murdered by their own governments since the turn of the century. Students of peace studies should note that socialistic regimes have peacefully killed roughly three times more of their own citizens than have been killed in all the wars in the 20th century. In other words, one is safer in a war (26 killed per 10,000 exposed) than in a socialistic state (477 killed per 10,000 exposed). Should we start moving left again as Mr. Harrington urges us to do, I'd want to start a war just for the safety and well-being of myself and my family.
