As some of you have reported, the fortune data base files were
truncated in some cases.  The most common reason is the control-G
(bell) characters being deleted.  In the case of scene.aa, part of
one fortune got chopped out and another has a linefeed inserted.
Here's a diff for scene.aa.  The last line has 22 ^G's inserted before
the leading A and 1 ^G after the last !.
