Apart from speed considerations (as somebody pointed out, even the VT100 is pretty limited), would somebody care to name a hardware/software combination which completely emulates a VT100? Including 132 columns, smooth scroll, double height/width, alternate character sets like Dec Special Graphics, Display Control Font ? (Not to mention the VT100's VT52-compatibility, but now I'm going too far.) The only ones I'm aware of are a handful of VT100 (or rather VT200) terminal clones, no micros.
