I realize that this isn't really the "correct" group to post this to, but it is the primary group that I read AND there are a lot of very bright and knowledgable people who also read this group. Enough, apology done Could somebody who knows about this stuff please send me information about the nitty-gritty of hard disks. By nitty-gritty, I mean the actual signals that go to the disk itself, not SCSI, one level lower. When (and why) does one use "Reduced Write Current*" are the types of questions I am asking.
