Matt's Shell has that ability, and I always thought that it shouldn't be that hard to write a program that would allow you to move files around devices like you can around disk structures. It should support wild cards, and it should preserve the date stamp, then we can use copy (or cp) to copy files and use the current time stamp (and wild card here too).
