(advice wanted) Message-ID: <3738@gitpyr.gatech.EDU> Date: Sun, 14-Jun-87 17:32:36 EDT Article-I.D.: gitpyr.3738 Posted: Sun Jun 14 17:32:36 1987 Date-Received: Mon, 15-Jun-87 05:58:30 EDT Organization: Georgia Tech, Atlanta Lines: 14 I have an A1010 external drive for my Amiga 1000. Recently it has been generating an unreasonable number of "Read/Write Errors". (Say 15 in 20 hours of operation...a ROUGH estimate). Since it only seems to happen on DF1: and not DF0:, and I it has happened on a wide varitey of disks, I suspect that it is the drive that is at fault. Here's the question: what's my best solution? I've only had the drive for 6 months and it hasn't been abused (hardly even moved). Naturally, the solution I'd prefer most is the cheap one that doesn't leave me without a drive for any length of time. Thanks in advance.... -- David Corbin Atlanta, GA ...!{akgua,allegra,amd,hplabs,ihnp4,masscomp,ut-ngp}!gatech!gitpyr!dave
