One of the advantages of getting the bridge card for the 2000 would be the ability to plug in either a PC hard-card or PC internal drive (using the 5.25" cutout to support it). Either way you will pay about $400 for 20 Megabytes. So counting the Bridge card your looking at $995 for a hard disk (where have I heard that number before), but at the same time you do get PC compatibility. >Also, the 1000 was being routinely discounted by as much as 25% within >a few months of its introduction. Pardon me for correcting your math, but if the 1000 was discounted 25% within a few months and the same happened to the 2000 you would be able to buy it for $1500 not $1000. Frankly, I don't see Commodore pushing that hard for it. No offense intended, but the 500 puts Commodore marketing right back in familiar territory, it can be marketed like a souped up C-64. I am wondering though why it doesn't have AmigaBASIC in ROM though... --Chuck McManis uucp: {anywhere}!sun!cmcmanis BIX: cmcmanis ARPAnet: cmcmanis@sun.com These opinions are my own and no one elses, but you knew that didn't you.
