(Intuition manual, Chapter 10 "MOUSE AND KEYBOARD") I like the system that DPaint II uses. The right button over the menu bar pulls that information transfer area open. Settings can be viewed and/or set. Right button can be pressed over one of the drawing tools to get/set parameters. Mouse travel reduction could be made with a "Fast Menu" like the Ageis products use. This is just a dragable window with a "menu" of commands in it. Extending the Dpaint interpretation of the right mouse button would have the right button bring up the "info" window of the icon the pointer was over. --------- One thing I had *never* liked about the Amiga was finding the page forward gadget under a pile of other windows. For the single tasking Mac bringing the window to the front whenever clicked works ok. For the Amiga, no. Different machines have different requirments. A left button double-click has always meant "open up" "use" or "empasize". I wrote a tiny handler that extends a double-click into any window to bring that window to the front. A single click works as always. See the next message for the code... --------- Ack! (NAK,EOT,SOH) |\ /| . {o O} . bryce@cogsci.berkeley.EDU -or- ucbvax!cogsci!bryce ( " ) U Single tasking?
