What's wrong with: CON:x0/y0/width/height/80/24/Title? 2) You're right. I even bitched about the same thing before. If you do design a new console device, don't make it console.device and don't call it CON:. I like TTY: myself (though VT100: has a nice ring to it). Boy, is my face red. 3) If there are too many programs that open console.device rather than CON:, or better yet a user specified name (NewCLI AUX: comes to mind), what can be done to allow CON: as well as TTY: windows (one reason I don't use CONMAN: it doesn't give me an alternative)?
