Based on one person's experience (mine) you have to be careful in getting chips to go in the Apple GS memory board. I went down to the local discount electronics place and got chips that seemed to ahve all the same part numbers, including whatever code it was that specified the speed, but they didn't work. Ended up buyingthem from the dealer afterall. Don't know why the one's I bought didn't work.
