I want to forestall any confusion, here... The only file *I* know of called GEMSTART is the C runtime startup code which is the first file in your link statement when you use Alcyon C. I wrote a new and improved version of this shortly after I came to Atari. This file does have something to do with GEM applications (there are binding counts, for one thing) but not much, and certainly nothing to do with starting GEM applications from the Auto folder. If there is a program which does this, I would be interested to hear about it, but I would also like to encourage a NAME CHANGE. To me, and to a lot of Alcyon C users (this is the C with the Development Package), GEMSTART means "Startup code for GEMDOS."
