Even though I've understood that having the latest information is the greatest, but this does open the doors for Digital to push out products faster than they have to fully test/document products. We all remember when VMS 4.0 first came out... Don't get me wrong for I do enjoy new software functionality but still rather read hardcopy than take the effort in reading fast loading RX01's (,tapes or whatever) and fast laser speed of our Printronix 300 printer. I guess the problem is how can Digital crank out s/w products to keep up with demand and keeping release costs down, without sacrifcing quality. I still prefer hardcopy over listings (I have enough listings on my desk). +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ed Lisle | ogcvax! | | Quantitative Technology Corporation | verdix! qtc!ed | | Beaverton, OR (503) 626-3081 | sequent! | +------------------------------------------------------------+
