A small debate exists between me and a colleague about whether
ST238 drives have an auto-park feature at power off time. He
swears it doesn't, because he hears something different if he
uses the SHIP command before power off (that is, he hears
something different at the next power on).  I say there's
a spring that makes SHIP unnecessary. Somebody out there
must KNOW (I mean for *sure*). E-mail please.
