I currently have an IBM EGA card driving an IBM enhanced color display on an AT. I would also like to be able to run specialized software which has only a Hercules graphics driver. In addition, I'd like to get away from the notoriously buggy IBM EGA BIOS (screen bounce, flicker, etc.). I have found ads for a number of cards providing EGA/CGA/Hercules compatability. Has anyone had experience with or heard about the following cards? Also, do these cards likely just copy the IBM BIOS or provide their own, and how do they "automatically sense" what mode they should be in? 1) SigmaEGA! by Sigma Designs 2) MegaGraph-Plus by ATronics International 3) TurboEGA and OrchidEGA by Orchid 4) QuadEGA+ by Quadram 5) SupremeEGA by Tatung Co. 6) EGA WONDER from EMJ DataSystems 7) SmartEGA by Micro Computers of Canada Replies by e-mail, I will post a summary.
