What I've been trying to figure out how to do, is how to get a list of files matching a wildcard file name. I can do the expression matching, but I have yet to figure out a simple way to read the directory, getting each file name returned to me. Is there a way to do this? Most other operating systems have simple primitives to do this. It seems to me this is a very normal thing to want to do. Even on the Mac, an application might want to find all files with it as a creator, without having to put up any dialog boxes for the user. If anyone has any information, or better yet, code to do this, please respond to me via e-mail. Thank you.
