My mouse button is double clicking. This was seen in Edit and Lightspeed C. Well, this was disconcerting but I got a better one. If I clicked in the scroll up box and if the mouse was not moved (i.e. left in the box) the scrolling would continue until the top of the file was reached. YES, as if the mouse button was being held down. Luckly I was far enough down into the file that I could observe the actions. To re-iterate: Macintosh SE w/internal 20Meg. & standard keyboard Using most recent *released* System and Finder (sorry numbers escape me) I had no DAs active, no added FKEYs I do have BeepInit31, SoundInit31 on and used Ramdomizer In Lightspeed C v2 (upgrade v1 copy from Think) Near the end of an edit file Clicked once in scroll up box Hands off mouse keyboard etc. Observed continuous scroll till top of file Could not repeat it but did not try too many times Note: I have no reason to assume that the mouse failed because all other actions with the mouse acted normally. I continued to use the machine and had no effects occur as if the mouse button was stuck down. Any help? (Who's to point finger at? :-) Note: am really only interested in a fix. And am curious what the cause was. -- UUCP:...!amdahl!drivax!socha WAT Iron'75 "Everything should be made as simple as possible but not simpler." A. Einstein
