I would like to be able to print LaTeX output on a dumb printer, one that does not know about different fonts, super or sub scripting, mathematical symbols or any of the other special characters common to LaTeX. Ideally I would like a dvi2ascii tool. Does one exist? I would even be willing to write one if I knew where to get information on the format of the .dvi file; does anyone know where I might a definition of what goes into the .dvi file? Any help appreciated. Peter Webb. {allegra|decvax|harvard|yale|mit-eddie|mirror}!ima!applicon!webb, ...!ulowell!applicon!webb, or ...!raybed2!applicon!webb
