The problem isn't with dump/restore, the problem's in the tmscp driver. They've reworked the driver in Ultrix 2.0. At the recent DECUS symposium in Nashville, DEC said that TK-50 throughput in 2.0 is increased by a factor of 12! Your best bet is probably to get 2.0. --Pat.
