Translan allows for either a multiport or a single duplex T-1 communication line utilizing the 802.3 ethernet data link specification. The CSU unit recommended by Vitalink is the DL551V-01A-VT (specific to Translan) available from Digital Link. The DL551V-01A-VT provides a V.35 connection to Translan (cable provided by Translan) and connects to the phone company T-1 line via a 15-pin d-female to an 8-pin modular connector. Does anyone have experience with those products in connecting ethernet networks together? And are there any other products I should consider? Thanks in advance. --Haral Tsitsivas ...!seismo!scgvaxd!ashtate!haral
