Can anyone tell me why V.2 date gives the message date: no TOY clock when any argument starts with '-' ?? More to the point, what does the message *mean*, and what happens on systems that *do* have TOY clocks? (I know *why* the message appears, looking at the sources, but not what it *means* - does TOY mean time of year?? even if it did, that doesn't help much...) Just wondering. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hamish Reid Root Computers Ltd, Hayne St, London EC1A 9HH England +44-1-606-7799 hamish@root.co.uk mcvax!ukc!root44!hamish hamish@root44.uucp
