Alliant distributes SCCS with their systems, but I'm told that they actually use RCS in house. I wrote to Walter Tichey (the author of RCS) for permission for me to bring RCS up on KAI's Alliant FX/8 as well. Someone on campus at University of Illinois did some comparisions between revision control systems. I forget what program it was that was chosen as the best, but I do remember that RCS was better rated than SCCS.
