It is configured on an AST ATvantage multifunction card for lp2 (DOS lpt3). The performance of the printer is unsatisfactory in that at the end of each line of print, the printer hesitates before outputting the next line. This is unacceptable. I believe that the interrupt for /dev/lp2 is 5. Is this in conflict with some other device on the system (e.g. Archive Tape drive with AT Mini software)? I would appreciate any help with this problem as a multiuser system without flexible printing facilities is somewhat hamstrung. Mark T. Dornfeld Royal Ontario Museum mark@utgpu!rom -or- romwa@utgpu
