This computer soposedly reads IBM format disks, and I am trying to transfer some text files with an IBM diskette. I used an AT high desity disk with some IBM text files on it, and issued the command: tar -tvf /dev/fd096ds9. It said the block size was 126, and that there was a Directory checksum error....The device is correct, the disk was OK, but I still got an error...Why? Thanks in advance, Robert Lord {ihnp4,seismo}!killer!robertl
