Summary: phone lines down

'encore' is having major problems with their phone lines 
after moving some stuff around the computer room.

They expect to be up late tomorrow, but I expect that when encore
comes back out to the world,  it will be extremely busy picking up 
the news it has left on 'linus' and 'necntc' since last friday!
(there is better than 4MB compressed here and they are still 1200bps)

So, the upshot is - encore should be avoided if possible...

Either myself or the current responsible person at encore 
will post when all is well again.
