Summary: This whole discussion is irrelevant to international netters

I hope that the participants in this "discussion" realise that
news.misc goes all over the world.  The Mark Smith (whoever) versus
people at the "Well" (whatever that is) seems to be a local (i.e.
Californian) dispute so why spray it all over our terminals and news
feeds?  Can't you people talk it out in some more restricted forum?  The
whole dispute seems to be mudslinging, accompanied by unsupported
allegations and innuendos.
