Here are some things to watch out for when building news on a Masscomp.

1. Use the definitions compatable with USG (AT&T System V).

2. Do NOT use the LOCKF or FLOCK feature as it is largely broken
on RTU.

3. You may or may not ( per your wish) use the dbm library. I do, but
I have also used the directory database approach (for the history file)
and that works well.
