I'm sure these questions have been asked before, so my apologies for starting
in the middle of the discussion.

What (and who) is Stargate?  What is PC-PURSUIT?  What (and who) is UUNET?

Please email me answers or pointers, as I'm sure that posting them to the net
will get us both (me & the poster) flamed well past medium rare :-)
