Lines: 30 Keywords: weather analog/digital rs232 I have an AT clone running Microport 2.2, and an avid interest in meteorology. I'm in a research phase, and want to do the following: 1. Sample barometric pressure. 2. Sample wind vectors. 3. Sample temperature. 4. Sample relative humidity. I am confident of my ability to manipulate the data once I have collected it. I am not at all familiar with how to interface analog devices. I would like to purchase or construct a weather station that can be interfaced through an extra rs232 port on this machine. The sampling times are not microsecond critical, so sampling rates are flexible. I seem to remember such a device was available from Heathkit. Does anyone have any experience/guidance to offer along these lines? I want to avoid special purpose boards which are widely available because of the kernel hacking that would require. Please respond to me by mail, and I will summarize as appropriate. -- Robert C.
