You'd better get a System V license because it will be required for future releases, I hear. Second. Despite all the improvement, all the changes, made to the Berkeley code, a large portion of the code is still AT&T propietary. Much of this is arcane stuff that would be hard to reproduce properly even if one was concerned. Perhaps you should call Richard Stallman? By the way, there have been a number of non-AT&T UNIX-clones out. Mark Wilson's Coherent and Whitesmiths' IDRIS come to mind. -Ron
