Message-ID: <2615@hoptoad.uucp> Date: Mon, 3-Aug-87 07:28:06 EDT Article-I.D.: hoptoad.2615 Posted: Mon Aug 3 07:28:06 1987 Date-Received: Tue, 4-Aug-87 01:56:06 EDT Organization: Nebula Consultants in San Francisco Lines: 13 I have a lot of trouble with these, since they can pop up just about anywhere in a declaration and it takes me a long time to get it straight which part of the declaration they apply to. A version of cdecl that kept it straight for me would be a big win. Has anyone done it already? [You could get fancy and parse function prototype declarations too, but those are only equally hard-to-parse as the rest of C. Const and volatile are *harder*. I like the ideas, but it's a shame to complicate C's already-too-complicated declarations while adding them.] -- {dasys1,ncoast,well,sun,ihnp4}!hoptoad!gnu gnu@postgres.berkeley.edu Alt.all: the alternative radio of the Usenet.
