I have not been able to convince my lex, which should be the latest from AT&T (version 4.1), that there exist 8 bit character codes. The reason, as I have detected it (I am *not* a lex expert), is that the arrays generated by lex is not capable of handling more than the standard 7bit charsets. If anybody out there has knowledge of a way out of this problem I would be most grateful.
