We are evaluating a number of languages for command processing in a realtime speech delivery system. Lisp is being considered because the arguments to the module conform nicely to a list metaphor. My concerns are that lisp is too slow and too large to be of use in this environment. Any comments? The target machine is 68020 based. Any experience/advice on interpreters/compilers for this machine? Thanks for your consideration, -Mike -- ================================================================================ "Why am I so soft in the middle when the rest of my life is so hard?" -- P.Simon Mike Liss {rochester, ritcv}!cci632!mdl (716) 482-5000
