Only two things to note: (1) There seems to be a difference in input formats - some older spice decks don't work. I'm not sure why yet. (2) The distribution was excellently done. Included are files capable of building versions for BSD UNIX (4.2, 4.3, Ultrix), Sys V UNIX (HPUX), and MS-DOS (w/ Lattice C), all from the same source code (except for 2 include files - and I only had to change 1 :-). All I had to do for Ultrix was edit prefixbsd.h into prefix.h, say "make", and copy the binaries where I wanted them. (Well, it turned out I had to grab /usr/include/X/* from a uVAX GPX to enable X window support, but that wasn't the distribution's fault.) Also, each circuit element type is completely modularized and can be eliminated from the program if desired. That is, if you know you're never going to use current-controlled current sources, you can delete one word from one line in the Makefile, and they go away and your binary gets smaller.
