Lines: 21 Xref: mnetor comp.os.misc:74 comp.misc:894 I am interested in writing applications which can use EGA graphics on a PC-AT which runs Microport System V UNIX. Although Microport provides a driver, it provides only the lowest level of support requiring an application to execute many calls to perform a simple graphics function. I suspect performance problems would surface using this interface, although I am not sure. In any event, I am looking for an alternative. Although the bios associated with the EGA card contains some higher-level support, it cannot be used with System V (this information comes directly from Microport). Has anyone written an application for EGA in this environment? If so, how did you do it? Alternatively, does anyone have any knowledge of a workable approach to this problem? -- Karl (Karl Lehman) uucp : {decvax || ucbvax || ihnp4 || philabs}!sdcsvax!celerity!kkl uucp : akgua!celerity!kkl arpa : sdcsvax!celerity!kkl@nosc Tele : (619) 271 9940
