And if there is enough of a interest I'll post my multi-tasking fs, I already have a couple of people interested, so I'll probably do it. I am sorry for a short (I hope) delay in my posting the stuff, I am struggling with this stupid 286 XT board... oh, a question I'll throw out: working with my serial tty and a very crude cu program, I dialed up a BBS the other day. The port seems to lose characters now and then when a large burst of characters come at once. I've traced down the reason to the console handling routines, they spend lots of time in there with interrupts off. I saw no particular reason for this so I took out the "cli" in a couple of places. The ports work now, but the system is unstable; it hangs up at times, once it trashed a disk. I've stuck the "cli"s back in but am I wrong in assuming that save/restore saves and restores the machine state exactly? Am I missing something? Oh, my problem is worse probably because of the EGA fixes I put in (Larry Hubble's)... The screen is scrolled with interrupts off! -- Bing H.
