I left out a (small) step in my last message about trimming trailing spaces using the EVE editor... Here is the correct sequence (step 4 was added...) 1) get the file in eve (edit/tpu name.ext) 2) press the DO key 3) type: TPU EVE$X_TRIMMING := 1 4) press the DO key 5) type: WRITE FILE 6) press the DO key 7) type: EXIT Note that the 'DO' key is actually the DO key on vt2xx terminals, but is someother pf key on vt1xx terminals (I forget which key)...
