In particular (consider and HSC50 and RA81/RA82 drives): - Where does the LBN -> PBN translation occur ? - What are/Where are the commands that tell the drive to SEEK, WRITE, READ, etc. ? - How big is the buffer in the disk drive itself ? (Supposedly, the disk can field a request from the requestor in the HSC, read the information into a buffer in the disk drive, and, when the requestor polls the disk again, transfer the information to the requestor (and subsequently, to the CPU). - What determines how much information is pasted from the disk drive to the requestor ? These, and many, many, more questions .... Thanks for the help !
