When we added an HSC50 to our system aem and clustered, the DEC people made the CI # on the HSC 0, on one VAX 6, and on the other VAX 7. However, they told me I should name my HSC HSC007 since it was connected to a VAX with CI port # 7. Not knowing any better at the time, I did it. Now I would like to change it's name to HSC000. What do I do, and in what order? I know I need to change it on the HSC, in MODPARAMS.DAT, and probably a few other places. Also, what needs to be done to change the CI #'s on the VAXes to 1 and 2, so I can reduce Polling? I'd like to do this with a minimum number of reboots, as we run some LONG jobs (some take a week!). Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance, Tom Williams Naval Coastal Systems Center (904)234-4699 vtcf@ncsc.arpa
