To assure compatibility/interoperability, NBS has reviewed and analyzed the options that are available for implementing the Standard, and has selected options that will be proposed as part of the Federal Standard. At the workshop, NBS will present the proposed specification and participants will be invited to ex- press their views. The workshop will be held October 20-21 at a hotel in the Rockville- Gaithersburg area. Attendance is limited by space re- quirements and the size of the conference facility; therefore, registration is on a first come, first served basis with recom- mended limitation of two participants per company. A registra- tion fee will be charged for attending the workshop. Partici- pants are expected to make their own travel arrangements and ac- commodations. NBS reserves the right to cancel any part of the workshop.
