How's that apply to "shareware" or public domain where the programs are given away (shareware may be a special case because of the implied sale)? >So far I have not gotten Medin's Kermit 3.76 to work - I am still waiting >answers on what files it needs to even start, let alone dial, etc. >Anyone out there use Kermit? If I can figure out how to send you mail from bitnet, I can help out. The VT100 emulation in 3.78 is better than the one in 3.76 (at least on a //c, the 3.76 hangs sometimes and does other strange things). Kermit now will execute "macros" on loading IF there is a KERMIT.INIT text file on the disk (it doesn't have to be there, it just says it didn't find one and loads anyway if there is not). It also recognizes a KERMIT.MODEM file with phone numbers (assumes Hayes AT commands). Otherwise to dial, CONnect and type ATDP phone number (or ATDT if you have touch tone). I got 3.78 and the IIgs driver (which I don't use, but which I passed along to someone else) from medin-t@shark.nosc.mil --------------------- ARPA: sewall%uconnvm.bitnet@wiscvm.wisc.edu Murphy A.
