Everyone should agree to stop buying copy-protected software other than perhaps stand-alone entertainment software, since one cannot simply install it on one's hard disk in a suitable directory like it should be. Also, send a note to the software publishers than use copy- protection telling them why you don't buy their products (Electronic Arts, Activision, and Broderbund are the three big offenders), and send a note to the reasonable publishers (Beagle, Apple, Penguin, etc.) telling them how much you appreciate their policy and that you will gladly cooperate with protecting their investment by not ripping them off.
