The 64K is in bits. At this point the only chips measured in bytes are SIMMs, such as used in the OctaRAM and the mac +. What you mean is can you increase the amount of memory on the 80 column card by simply replacing chips. While some boards alow this with special circuitry, the Apple board has no such circuitry to allow this. Usually, the manufacturer says "Can use 64K or 256K chips ...". Get a Ramworks or Checkmate if you want the memory. They are reliable and pretty cheap, as well as coming with the software you need to modify appleworks and make a RAM disk. > Thanks in advance, > Ray > > Rankins@Dockmaster.arpa Sean kamath. -- UUCP: {decvax allegra ucbcad ucbvax hplabs ihnp4}!tektronix!reed!kamath CSNET: reed!kamath@Tektronix.CSNET || BITNET: reed!kamath@Berkeley.BITNET ARPA: tektronix!reed!kamath@Berkeley reed!kamath@hplabs US Snail: 3934 SE Boise, Portland, OR 97202 (I hate 4 line .sigs!)
