The first line of the mail should be the command: SUBSCRIBE APPLE2-L first_name last_name That should be the only thing in the mail. If for some reason they can't get this to work they can always send me mail (one person has already) and I could add them manually. All programs to be posted should be sent to APPLE2-L@BROWNVM.BITNET and not to the LISTSERV account. Also I have changed the server to store each posting as separate files. This way users on bitnet can retrieve them by sending a GET command to LISTSERV@BROWNVM. I am not sure about users outside of bitnet, but they can try to get files by sending mail to LISTSERV@BROWNVM.BITNET with the first line being: GET filename filetype If anyone wants more information about getting files or knowing how LISTSERV works, let me know. If enough people want, I can post the help file for using the LISTSERV server. Chris
