Landay) Organization: University of California, Berkeley Lines: 23 My monochrome monitor, at random intervals, suddenly displays one jagged looking line and the rest of the screen goes black. Knocking it around fixes it or letting it sit a long time fixes it. I brought it to San Jose Computer. They charged me $50.00 to fix it. It still didn't work. I brought it back, the technician said he left it on 4 days and didn't see it happen. He said it was my machine. I disagree. I tried a friends monitor it worked fine. Hitting the monitor fixes it, not the machine! Now I hear Atari will fix it for another $60.00. I feel like I've been ripped off. All I have had is problems with the ST. I had one of the early ones. Motherboard went bad. Bad mouse. Now monitor. Atari please reply!!!!! (* no, I don't have power supplies near the monitor *) James A.
